Refurbishment
Refurbishment
The design and operation of line heaters has changed very little over the last 50 years. The steel body of the some of the older units in operation today is still in good condition. Due to the high cost of materials and labor today, we can take a 20–30‐year‐old heater and restore it to new condition sometimes for 50% of the cost of a new unit. In addition to the cost saving over purchasing a new unit customer can save money from not needing to re‐fabricate existing piping. Full refurbishment usually consists of a full disassembly, thorough cleaning, and inspection before re‐assembly. The units get new insulation and paint along with an updated fuel train and burner assembly.
